A Closer Look At The 2019 Subaru Ascent
The 2019 Subaru Ascent is a midsize SUV offering a vast array of tech features, lots of storage space and spacious seating. Available seating features include the Subaru Ascent, Ascent Premium, Ascent Limited and Ascent Touring.
It’s powered by a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 260 hp paired with a continuously variable transmission. Towing capacity stands up to 5,000 lbs when properly equipped.
The interior offers seating for seven or eight passengers depending on the configuration selected. Optional seating features include power adjustable and temperature controlled seats. Two sets of LATCH connectors are in place.
Standard interior features include HD radio, four USB ports, a 6.5″ lcd screen, satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, tri-zone automatic climate control, a stereo and an infotainment system. Optional available features include a Wi-Fi hot spot, a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control and more.
Cargo space stands at 47.5 cubic feet and expandable to 86.5 cubic feet with the second and third row of seats folded back. A power liftgate is available.
The 2019 Subaru Ascent achieved scores of “Good” on moderate overlap, side impact, rear crash and roof strength tests conducted by the IIHS. Available safety features include air bags, brake assist, ESC, daytime running lights, traction control and more.
